Nuggets Vs Lakers Last Game

Nuggets Win Game 1 of Western Conference Semifinals Against Lakers

Jokic Dominates as Nuggets Extend Lakers Playoff Losing Streak

Nuggets Win Ninth Straight Game Over Lakers

The Denver Nuggets defeated the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 1 of their Western Conference semifinal series on Saturday night at Ball Arena. The Nuggets won the game 124-102, extending their winning streak over the Lakers to nine games. The Nuggets' dominance over the Lakers includes five playoff meetings, including Saturday's game at Ball Arena. This marks the first time the Nuggets have won a playoff series against the Lakers since 1995.

Nikola Jokic was once again the catalyst for the Nuggets' success. The reigning MVP had 31 points, 13 rebounds, and 8 assists in Game 1. He was efficient from the field, shooting 11-of-18. Jokic also played a key role in the Nuggets' defense, which held the Lakers to 40.6% shooting from the field.

The Lakers were led by LeBron James, who had 26 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists. However, James was not as efficient as Jokic, shooting just 9-of-24 from the field. Anthony Davis, who returned to the Lakers' lineup after missing the last two games with an ankle injury, had 15 points and 10 rebounds. However, he was also inefficient, shooting just 6-of-15.

The Nuggets will look to take a 2-0 lead in the series when they host the Lakers in Game 2 on Monday night at Ball Arena. The Lakers will need to find a way to contain Jokic if they want to win Game 2 and tie the series.
