Lacazette forces home late winner as Arsenal snatch dramatic victory over Wolves
Arsenal came from behind to secure a dramatic 2-1 victory over Wolves at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday night, with Alexandre Lacazette scoring a stoppage-time winner to send the home fans into raptures.
The Gunners fell behind to a stunning strike from Matheus Cunha in the 86th minute, but they showed great character to fight back and claim all three points.
Martin Ødegaard had given Arsenal the lead in the 13th minute with a fine finish, but Wolves deservedly levelled through Cunha's brilliant goal.
However, Arsenal were not to be denied and they snatched victory in the dying seconds when Lacazette bundled home from close range.
The win moves Arsenal up to fifth in the Premier League table, while Wolves remain in 16th place.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will be delighted with his team's character after they showed great resilience to come from behind and win the game.
